MDS 3200 Series Micro-Dispensing System

The piezoelectric jetting valve is suitable for high-viscosity media up to 2,000,000 mPa·s and capable of continuous operation at high frequencies of up to 1,000 Hz. It features a modular design, flexible configuration, and stable performance, effectively reducing costs for the user.

Operating Principle

All MDS dispensing valves feature the latest generation of piezo actuators, driven by a controller. With each pulse, the piezo actuator drives the movement of the tappet, thereby opening or closing the nozzle orifice. The tappet is linked to the piezo module via a precision lever system, transferring the kinetic energy generated by the piezo to the dispensing medium, which is then ejected from the nozzle under pressure. Thanks to the piezo's ultra-fast and precise vertical movement, hundreds of accurate, repeatable dots can be dispensed per second. Unlike systems designed for low-to-medium viscosity fluids, the MDS 3200+ valve remains open during non-operating periods (normally open design).

The system is capable of jetting dots smaller than the diameter of a human hair (less than 150 microns) with exceptional consistency, precision, and repeatability. Its ultra-high dispensing frequency helps increase productivity and reduce costs.
